New Honda HR-V For Sale in Branford, CT

What Does the 2021 Honda HR-V Offer?

As a subcompact crossover SUV, the Honda HR-V offers a lot of cargo room (for its size) and a high level of maneuverability. minor tweaks refine the 2021 model year, split into the base LX, racing-style Sport, the more luxurious EX, and the range-topping EX-L for Hamden customers to choose from in our new inventory lineup.

Performance

The 2021 Honda HR-V is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hitched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), eliminating the energy-consuming mechanism of standard transmissions for a seamless operation. Coupled with the relatively tiny engine, the CVT ensures a peak fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Although the numbers drop to 27 mpg and 31 mpg, respectively, if New Haven drivers go with the optional all-wheel drive (in place of the standard front-wheel drive), tire grip of the road-especially on slippery surfaces-would be maximized.

Design

Designed as a four-door vehicle, the 2021 Honda HR-V sports a sleek profile with a sloping roofline to give it a coupe-like aura. Riding on 17-inch silver-painted alloy wheels, the HR-V has a pair of power side mirrors pinned to the front doors and a roofline spoiler glued to the rear. Illumination is produced from projector-beam halogen headlights with an auto-off feature. For East Haven drivers who want a sportier look, there's the aptly named Sport. This model is the only trim with 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels with matte-black inserts, gloss-black power side mirrors, and gloss-black underbody spoilers. At this trim level, Honda introduces fog lights for penetrating illumination, roof rails for exterior cargo carrying, a rear window wiper and washer for making your rearview clearer when necessary, and an exhaust finisher. At the EX and EX-L trim levels, the HR-V reverts to 17-inch alloy wheels, albeit with a higher-quality silver finish than the LX. Turn-signal indicators and heating ability are incorporated onto the side mirrors. A one-touch power moonroof with tilting ability is also available to let in air and light when needed. Notably, while the LX and Sport have two-speed intermittent windshield wipers, the EX and EX-L offer Milford, CT drivers variable-speed intermittent ones for more convenient and effective windshield wiping.

Safety

At the base level, the 2021 Honda HR-V has a rearview camera for parking guidance, cruise control to keep the vehicle at a set speed, and LED daytime running lights for making the vehicle more conspicuous as driver-assistance technologies. However, if you want to optimize driver assistance, go with either the EX or the EX-L, which add the Honda Sensing suite of technologies. Honda Sensing provides the following:

  • Adaptive cruise control to automatically set a safe following distance
  • Lane keeping assist
  • Forward collision warning to alert you on an impending front-end crash
  • Collision mitigation braking to provide stopping power in avoiding a front-end crash
  • Lane departure warning to alert you when leaving your intended lane of travel without signaling
  • Road departure mitigation to alert you when leaving your intended road of travel without signaling

Also added on the EX and EX-L are auto-high beam technology, which switches on the high beams during low-visibility situations and switches them off to avoid blinding fellow motorists, and Honda's LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system to watch out for potential side crashes. Regardless of trim level, the HR-V comes with two frontal impact airbags, two side impact airbags, and two side curtain airbags to provide crash protection.
