For our fans in the Branford, New Haven and Wallingford communities you probably have heard all about the 2013 Honda Accord. It is making quite a big splash and we can't wait to see if it will take home a coveted prize later this month. Of course we are talking about the North American Car of the Year awards. This award will be determined in Detroit and it just so happens that our Accord sedan is a finalist.
With the North American International Auto Show looming on our calendars, it seems the days are getting longer and time is slowing down. Everyone here at Brandfon Honda is eagerly awaiting the show. While we do enjoy seeing what automakers have been up to, as well as the debuts of new models, we have high hopes for the North American Car of the Year awards.
The award winner will be determined by 49 automotive industry experts and journalists from Canada and the United States. We hope that the Accord's reputation will help it win. Already this year it has been an IIHS, "Top Safety Pick", an ALG Residual Value award winner and earned a sport on Car and Drvier's magazine's, "Best 10" list.
If that isn't enough, the 2013 Honda Accord was also up for Motor Trend magazine's Car of the Year award but was eventually beat out by the Tesla Model S.
