Behind each new Honda vehicle that arrives at Brandfon Honda is an entire team of researchers and developers dedicated to producing the most innovative and safest auto possible. Don't believe us? Well, we're happy to provide a bit of support for our claim.

Take the new Driving Simulator Lab for example. Just recently, Honda paired up with the savvy minds at Ohio State University to build this highly-unique R&D lab. Backed by a $1.3 million investment, the lab contains an advanced simulation machine that mimics the experience of driving an actual vehicle.

In case you couldn't catch on, the point of the simulator is to allow researchers to observe and monitor drivers' psychological and physiological behavior "at the wheel." The ultimate goal, of course, will be to learn more about distracted driving and how it's affected during different situations on the road. Complete with a 240-degree screen and motion pad, the machine is well-equipped to simulate such situations.

Frank Paluch, Senior Vice President of Honda R&D America, explains, "It presents both the university and Honda with the chance to conduct leading-edge research into the psychological components of the driving experience and its impact on issues such as driver distraction and overall vehicle safety."1
