This week marks the beginning of the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it is there that Honda is planning ot unveil their redesigned "Hybrid for Everyone"1. That's right, we here at Brandfon Honda are talking about the Honda Insight, and it has undergone quite an overhaul in entering the 2012 model-year.

It makes perfect sense that Honda would keep as many details on their newly redesigned hybrid model under wraps before the show, but everyone here at knows how hard the wait for details can be. After all, the current 2011 Honda Insight is not only great seller for the Big H, it is also among the most highly respected hybrids on the road today. That's why we've scoured our sources in search of any interesting bits of info to share with you first.

As it should be, fuel efficiency is at the forefront of the collective minds behind models like the Honda Pilot and Honda Fit. In order to achieve this feat, Honda has fitted the 2012 Insight with a more aerodynamic front bumper and grill. Early photographs, released by the Big H, are already causing a storm of anticipation to form in the automotive community. Other changes made in the 2012 insight include modifications to the CVT and AC systems, as well as reductions in engine friction.

If we go off of the current Honda Insight's fuel economy ratings (43 mpg highway and 40 mpg city), then we would venture to guess that the 2012 model will most likely achieve somewhere in the realm of 45 mpg city/51 mpg highway. Of course, if you really want to know the EXACT ratings, you'll simply have to wait for it to debut at Frankfurt.
